FLASH MOVIE INTERNAL SEARCH

Is it possible to create a swf that will allow a person to create say a grid and within that grid place names in specific locations as a static entry then use an input box and search button to take the user directly to that point on the grid and have the target text animate by changing colors or font size to draw attn. to itself?

If so, how? If not, how can it be done?

Basicly, I would like to have… well essentialy a map where a user can place their first and last name in a box then type the name of the person they want to find and have the swf create a path to that persons location.

Like a google map, but for people…

Sorry but i was still not very clear about what you called a grid then a map? Did you mean that you have a map, then you have many point, each point represent a person? And user can use the search box to find where is that person?

I am needing to make an internal office map.

Example:

In the map there are 20 offices. Each office belongs to one person. When a user opens the swf they enter their first and last name, then enters the name of the person they are looking for. This then will highlite their office in one color and the target persons office in another color, thus allowing them to find the other office location easily.
