I have a role on at the moment for one of my clients looking for a contractor in Melbourne for 3-4 months with the following competencies:
REQUIRED SKILLS - Flash - Action Script - One of the following: Flex or Adobe Air or Director
DESIRABLE SKILLS - experience developing CD or DVD materials
The role is very exciting, it is creating learning material for tests that are made for pilots of all major commercial aircraft. Will look great on the CV, be alot of fun, a challenge and the pay is reasonable.

I just wanted to comment.
Having a choice of Flex / Adobe Air / Director for a single position shows that either the client is incompetent from the technological side (3 totally different technologies for different uses) or that they have not decided on how to deliver their product. Are these secondary skills?
Either way it does not look to good and I would suggest narrowing the search to a specific channel of developers once you decide on the technology.

They’re mainly leaving the choice there to keep their options open. They have started initially with Adobe Air, but this is quite new and so they realise they may not be able to get many people with this technology so they are willing to look at people with the other two and are open to using those instead.
At the moment i need someone to start as soon as possible and have been unable to find people willing to work contract – which is why we are keeping the field open.
Ideal candidate would have:
- Adobe Flash, Flex and Shockwave Developer experience - Adobe Air - CBT CD and DVD ROM developed using Director and Flash (and other adobe multimedia tools) - Program development skills – CBT is going to be for MS Windows (XP and Vista) only so most likely .Net, PHP or ASP
Basically they are open to looking at who is out there that can do the job, with varying skill sets but the basics of Flash and Actionscript need to be there – it is really a great role and would be an exciting task you will be given the ability to really make a difference with by having that choice in regards to the technology you use and the approach – and the project it is part of is already the number one by miles in its field – definetly an outstanding project to put on your CV.
